W. Sam Jacob
1955 - 2017

He remained in his hometown his entire life. Sammy graduated from Catalina High School in 1973. He attended the University of Arizona for a time after that. He was in ROTC while enrolled there. He had a great love of aviation, World War 2 history and science fiction.

He was employed by the Cash Box for 37 years, where he managed their gun department. They were a second family to him, as well as the many customers who became his friends. Sammy's passion was to be outdoors. Camping, fishing, hunting, that was when he was happiest and he did it as often as he could. It was his joy to share that time with friends and family.
